UMIAQ professionally and successfully served the North Slope Borough with a number of services over the course of their contract period from 2010 to 2011.
UMIAQ provided a variety of services to the North Slope Borough including project procurement, fuel delivery services to the job sites and equipment, engineering and logistics for waste management, and development of fuel supply and Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans. In addition, general survey and GIS support and medical and security support with teaming partner Beacon Occupational Health and Safety was also provided along with oil spill response technician support and other services as needed. UMIAQ also provided Design and Construction Administration for a combined shop/office building at the NSB Barrow South Field. This project was part of a larger multi-year/multi-phased plan to modernize the existing natural gas extraction, transportation, conditioning and distribution systems for the community.
